The Jewish Film Institute seeks an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced teen-oriented person to
support the JFI Teen Social Justice Film Fellowship . The program gives a diverse group of Bay Area
high schoolers an inside perspective on film as a tool for social justice. The cohort works with JFI
programming, marketing, and communications staff to curate and present programs for other Bay
Area teens and the wider community reflecting the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world
with our actions). The assistant will have an opportunity to help shape the program in its
inaugural year.

The assistant will support JFI’s Director of Filmmaker Services in all aspects of the program
including administration, planning, helping to coordinate events, and facilitating teen meetings
as needed. Ideal applicants will have experience working with Jewish teens but need not be
Jewish themselves, and have experience or a strong interest in social justice work and/or film.
This is an ideal position for a student or young professional interested in Jewish education. JFI
will accommodate work and study schedules as the program allows.

Position Status: Non-exempt, temporary, part-time position (5-8 hours/month) from
March-August 2022.

Salary Range: $25-$30/hr. depending on experience.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California (Primarily remote at this time, but we anticipate
future meetings will be in person.)
